Interesting (if brief) story appearing locally in the DC area on the local news radio station WTOP.

An interesting if distubing story being reported today by the AP regrarding the brother to the Crown Prince of the UAE. From the article:

Call it purely coincidence, but just a day after Media Matters reported on Fox News Anchor ED Hill calling The Obamas Dap/Respect Knuckles a "terrorist jab", TVNewser is reporting that her show has been cancelled.

I was just watching Senator McCain give a speech in Miami on cnn.com, and something seemed strange. When I realized what it was I did a quick search of photos on Yahoo News.

The results will almost certainly spell the end of McCains campaign for president.

A funny thing happened to me today when I came on here today to get my news and issue update. I see two very prominent ads from the cable industry's lobbying organization the NCTA.

I hate to repost a complete posting from someone else, but it is such a short posting.

The Stamford Advocate had an interview with Senator Joe Lieberman. The majority of the article was related to his support of John McCain, including a quote saying that he will attend the republican convention this summer "if Senator McCain thinks it will be helpful to be there in some capacity."

Lieberman's support of McCain is well documented. It is the last two paragraphs of the article that are more interesting.

Florida never disappoints when it comes to election wackiness. (Or maybe replace "disappoints" with "infuriates".)

Today's selection is pretty funny if not a little sad.

I don't know if anyone is watching the hearing right now on the cnn.com feed involving John Ashcroft and his no bid multi-million dollar contract, but things are getting hot!

Originally when I read this AP article, I really wanted to highlight this quote from John McCain today:

"We're uniting the country, not dividing it."

Hmm, that sounds so familiar. Where have I heard that before?

Interesting news yesterday involving the FCC and the "untimely" equipment failure a week ago at an Alabama CBS affiliate WHNT. As you probably remember, the equipment failed right when "60 Minutes" was airing a story about the convition of former govenor Don Siegelman.

Unfortunately no more info then that. According to the CNN website:

Republican Arizona Congressman Rick Renzi indicted on multiple federal charges, sources tell CNN.

Senator McCain, I am not your friend, so please stop addressing me as such.

Of course a person is innocent until proven guilty, but this doesn't look good for this republican.

Apparently spewing hate doesn't have quite the appeal for some advertisers that it used to.

It turns out that Fox News head honcho and former(?) GOP operative Roger Ailes sent out an email to everyone at Fox News today. And apprently things aren't going too well at Dick Cheney's favorite channel these days.
