Second Diebold Whistleblower comes forward on GA 2002

Diebold Added Secret Patch to Georgia E-Voting Systems in 2002, Whistleblowers Say

By Matthew Cardinale, News Editor, Atlanta Progressive News (September 28, 2006)

(APN) ATLANTA - Top Diebold corporation officials ordered workers to install secret files to Georgia's electronic voting machines shortly before the 2002 Elections, at least two whistleblowers are now asserting, Atlanta Progressive News has learned.

Former Diebold official Chris Hood told his story concerning the secret "patch" to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., for Kennedy's second article on electronic voting in this week's Rolling Stone Magazine.

Hood's claims corroborate a second whistleblower who spoke with Black Box Voting and Wired News in 2003.

19 Senators (GOP) vote for Amnesty for Iraqi Murderers

Wed Jun 21, 2006 at 01:13:06 PM PDT

I am Stunned:

These are all rich, white, Republicans with no family in the slaughter.  Nineteen of them today decided that the murder of American troops is...well Amnesty-worthy.

After all 2500 is only a number.  I know cuz Tony Snow-job tells me so. [Link http://www.aina.org/news/2006062111935.htm]

UPDATE: Bobby Kennedy Jr. in Rolling Stone...Republicans Stole 2004

Wed May 31, 2006 at 02:24:36 PM PDT

*Update 1* BradBlog [here http://www.bradblog.com] has some really juicy quotes: *Howard Dean*: "I'm not confident that the election in Ohio was fairly decided." *U.S. Congressman from Ohio, Rep. Dennis Kucinich*: "The secretary of state is supposed to administer elections – not throw them." *Pollster Lou Harris of the Harris Poll* -- described in the piece as "the father of modern day political polling" -- says: "Ohio was as dirty an election as America has ever seen." (Lou Freakin' Harris people) ...If only this could be the breakout piece of reporting that has been so desparately needed. ...Also, anybody notice no Presidential Polls for the past couple weeks...Can you say "in the Teens anybody?"

There was NO Fraud in November -- Just an Act of God

Mon Sep 19, 2005 at 04:38:22 PM PDT

Well...
...I for one have finally gotten an answer to the puzzling events on November 2nd 2004.  And it is all so perfectly perfect I am stunned that it wasn't discovered earlier.  There was no fraud.  All my research that sez otherwise was for naught.

...Thanks to Mr. Jim Glover. For in his essay "Let us Pray -- for Bush Relief here he has solved the puzzle.  Now we can truly "move on".

...He gets right to the crux:

Another Journalist Grows a Pair

Fri May 06, 2005 at 11:12:18 PM PDT

Very nice Bush slap down in the Chicago Sun Times today by a dare-I-say-it...Mainstream Journalist.

Bob Koehler...
Andrew Greeley...and the list begins.

"How long can Bush spin big lies into truth on Iraq war?"

Teaser:
"Would it not be much better to have a president who deliberately lied to the people because he thought a war was essential than to have one who was so dumb as to be taken in by intelligence agencies, especially those who told him what he wanted to hear?"

The entire essay [here http://commonwonders.com] Teaser:

"That was when they suspended the Constitution. They said it would be temporary. There wasn't even any rioting in the streets. People stayed home at night, watching television, looking for some direction. There wasn't even an enemy you could put your finger on." - Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale

Means, Motive, Opportunity...

Tue Apr 12, 2005 at 01:31:43 PM PDT

...A fascinating essay by the good folks at The Crisis Papers today.
By Dr. Ernest Partridge

A teaser:

" By late summer, 2006, the United States is in a desperate condition. Following the collapse of the dollar in international currency markets, there has been a cascade of business failures and mortgage foreclosures, and a precipitous rise in unemployment, as the US economy slides inexorably into a depression. Meanwhile, the June 2005 American attack on Iran and the continuing war in Iraq has made the United States an international pariah state; thus the community of nations shows no inclination whatever to rescue the United States from its economic collapse."

...Endgame in Ohio.

By Michael Keefer:

Conclusion:

"But let's be realistic about what it means when, with the willing complicity of all the major outlets of the corporate media, a single corporatist party controls the executive functions of the central government, including all of the security apparatus of a thoroughly militarized state, both houses of the legislature, and the judiciary--and what it means when this same party, having acquired executive power in 2000 through electoral fraud and a judicial coup d'état, and having confirmed its control of the legislature through the corrupt midterm elections of 2002, then provides a convincing demonstration in 2004 of its power to turn what should have been a landslide electoral defeat into a dubious but effectively unassailable victory."

I am hoping one of the OPs here can ad this entire selection to the dKosopedia under Media Contacts.

If you send one well-written, nicely articulated rant...er...(excuse me) "Letter to the Editor" you might as well send it to most all media outlets

If other Kossacks have bigger and better lists lets get them Posted.

This can be a MAJOR tool in projecting our reformed, progressive messages.  Just cut and paste maybe a quarter of them into the cc: of your mail client and then send the next batch, and the next, etc.

{A Call For} Media Contacts

Sat Nov 20, 2004 at 05:24:57 PM PDT

In a diary posted last week dKos user "bcorbs" was kind enough to post a TON of media links that I am borrowing and posting below the break.

It got me to thinking though that if we had a place on dKos, perhaps in the Dkosopedia with an exhausitve listing of press contacts for all news outlets ... everytime we email a Letter to the Editor, or a plea for press coverage, on any particular issue (I have been begging for voting "irregularities" help for two weeks from Maureen Dowd, Wapo, NYTimes, and others), or just need to get a message out...we could be VERY effective if we had a "cut and Paste" library of press contacts.

Now PLEASE...this is not a spam-spreader, so don't flame me on those grounds.

Does anybody else here think this might be a terrific idea for helping the Kossian community to become an even more potent force playing progressive offense?

Incendiary Diary Alert

Hypothetical Rove/Bush Nov. 2 Discussion...1:00pm EST

[Rove]...But Mr. President we are getting our asses kicked.

[Bush]  So I can see.

[Rove]  Its time for Plan B.

[Bush]  I dunno...Jeez what if it doesn't work?

[Rove]  Well if it keeps going like this we are gonna get slaughtered.  That asshole is even close in Virginia and the Carolinas.

[Bush]  God...the Carolinas?

[Rove]  And the exits show he's up by four clicks in Florida AND Ohio.  I think we gotta give `em Pennsylvania.  Nothing we can do there I'm afraid.  Look...think about your Dad....do you really want to lose this thing?  Can you imagine that asshole sleeping in your bed?

Earlier Diary died an unread death...so damnit I'm rerunning it.

Wed Nov 10, 2004 at 09:44:53 PM PDT

After last night's back and forth on the "bitchslapped thread" it is obvious that the Kossian Community is split pretty well down two ideological paths following the 2004 election.
Side A)  After months and years of blood, sweat, and tears we just didn't get it done.  George Bush's side did a better GOTV job.  There are some anomalies in the voting record, but there always are...certainly no evidence of FRAUD...and suggesting or saying so only harms our cause.  Lets get on with the next round of elections and fix the obvious problems.  Fair Enough?
