Some things I have learned today that I never knew before:
This morning, I turned on CNN. I only had it on for approximately a half an hour. During that half hour, CNN was showing some video clips of our military soldiers from Iraq.
I thought that was very cool as I watched all of them say "hi" and send their love to their family and friends. I know it's quite a special way for them to be heard this fourth of July.
But as I watched, I noticed a special pattern happening...
Today's media freakout on "refining" provided some great material to expose the bias and stupidity of many in the MSM.
In this video, I focus on the "reporting" of CNN, which pulled a classic case of: "Obama must respond to these allegations because he's facing questions" without noting that CNN was the outfit that had raised the questions in the first place.
Also, just so you've been warned, I've recently begun narrating some of my videos -- and this is one of them. On the bright side, you can find out that I am after all a real person, and that my name really is Jed.

A quick reference to anyone who missed a CNN clip this morning about the press coverage of Obama. Jeanie Most had a 2 minute clip about the press coverage and included hidden camera footage of Barack and Michelle at their daughters soccer game. It was heartwarming and revealing to see the true relationship they have. I am not computer literate enough to import the video(maybe someone else can) but it titled "Daddy Obama" on CNN.Com Video. My wife and I found it very heartwarming indeed.

Far more interesting are the trends that point to long term viewing patterns. While the 25-54 demo is most prized by advertisers, it is not a static metric. As people age they grow into and out of that demographic group. So which networks are poised to benefit over time as audiences mature?
Yesterday the mainstream media had a field day demonizing Barack Obama for refusing to fist bump with a young boy. This just a short time after the right wing media tried to tie Obama's fist bumps to terrorism. CNN has now retracted the story. However
Rudy Giuliani is some special kind of stupid. Apparently not tired of having Joe Biden hand him his ass just about every time he speaks, he is now apparently trying to restart his campaign.
In 2004, CNN led the charge to print the "Swift Boat Veterans" bullshit, calling it "news."
Back then desperately trying to peddle the Drudge/Fox smears to get ratings, CNN had no problem repeating and amplifying outright lies about John Kerry's war injuries as part of CNN's "some people are saying..." fraud journalism.
Now they want to criticize General Clark??? What did General Clark say that was untrue? Did General Clark deny anything about John McCain's history? Did General Clark distort any part of John McCain's past?
NO.
"The term Fourth Estate refers to the press, both in its explicit capacity of advocacy and in its implicit ability to frame political issues."
It can be argued that Charles Dickens was the first investigative journalist. Through his many novels, Dickens exposed the dark underbelly of 19th century Victorian England...the brutal life of the poor. Poverty was in itself a crime and was harshly punished by confinement to debtors' prison where the treadmill was their daily activity and punishment. Or voluntarily seeking solace and succor inside the execrable poor houses, the poor led wretched lives. And should they attempt to feed themselves or their families through the commission of some petty larceny or theft, the punishment was even more swift and harsh. The Law demanded that such miscreants be either hanged or transported for life to Australia.
Just got back to the computer and saw Gotta, my co-blogger's post.
CNN: "Wesley Clark tried to Swiftboat John McCain today."
Rick Sanchez's lead-in to his next segment just now on CNN:
"Wesley Clark tried to Swiftboat John McCain today."
I'm liveblogging. He goes on to say:
"It will reverberate for weeks. Wes Clark tried to diss McCain's military record, that his service doesn't qualify him to be president."
Rick Sanchez is mad.
I a new low for meat puppetry, CNN spokes model Rick Sanchez just now said Gen. Wesley Clark "swiftboated" McCain when Clark said getting shot down does not qualify someone to be President.
(Hey! Maybe it's true! Even the little words at the bottom of the screen said so!)
I guess Sanchez missed the day in main-stream-steno-pool class when they explained that SWIFTBOATING MEANS TELLING A LIE.
Got that Sanchez? Okay, let's check. Here's the quiz:
CNN just ran a story found here. Apparently, Congress has upped the covert budget for operations in Iran to $400 million. The CIA is laying the stage for an invasion. Iran has responded by digging graves in preparation.
This is scary. I don't think I have to tell anyone just how terrible this is.
Barack Obama and Scarlett Johansann? Could it be? Could the black star secretly be trying to land the hot young white movie star? Well, the National Inquirer CNN is all over it.
They ARE not Clinton supporters.
All of sudden there are groups that are appearing all over MSM saying they used to be Clinton supporters but now are against Obama and will vote for McBush.
This just happened on MSNBC..
Even as poll after poll shows Barack Obama consolidating his sizable leads among women in general and Hillary Clinton supporters in particular, the American media soldiers on in its attempt to manufacture dissent. CNN is no exception. Last night, Larry King featured disgruntled Clinton backer turned McCainiac, Cynthia Ruccia of the group Women for Fair Politics. Decrying the supposed sexism of the Democratic Party and the press, Ruccia made the case for John McCain, who just happens to be among the most sexist presidential candidates in recent memory.
Of course you already knew that, and this is a completely frivolous diary. But you know what? I'm gonna write it anyway, because I am in that kind of mood. Seriously, please, go do something better with your time, because it is going to be wasted here.
Update: Full of fail is leading in the poll. I dunno, I thought failure was a good choice too.
Update 2: Looks like Full of fail is going to take it. Maybe I'll e-mail Glenn Beck the results.
Yes - those are the words that Candy Crowley used on Anderson Cooper 360 yesterday. The Dems are spending the week healing the fissures that long primary process created. Obviously some of this Unity Week's purpose is to convince the high rollers in the Obama camp to help pay off Senator Clinton's debt. But in the twisted mind of Crowley this amounts to a steamy scene which climaxes with a "money shot." I think Kossacks know what I'm talking about but if not, wikipedia explains:
The term originates from mainstream feature filmmakers, who used the term "money shot" as slang for the image that costs the most money to produce;[2]. For example, in an action thriller, an expensive special effects sequence of a dam bursting might be called the "money shot" of the film.
Also called a "money-making" shot[3].
A money shot has also been used as another name for a cum shot in pornographic films. The shot was so named because if a male actor could not provide this shot he would not be paid.
I dont know about you but im getting a little sick of the media bias in favor of John McCain
