Senator Clinton, We Won't Take This Lying Down

Please, do not injure the Democratic Party for a fight you cannot win.
You are still a powerful figure in the party... you are perilously undermining that.
There was an age when the initial protest against wrongdoing was steamrolled over by those with the position, the money and the ruthlessness to cause enormous suffering. It was called the Bush Years--and we're still in it. When America is looking to escape the politics of arm-twisting and will-making-things so back to reality, you seem focused on learning the lessons from your embattled years in the White House so wrongly that you would perpetuate the same spirit of meanness, venality and aggression that has proved poisonous, possibly lethal for our nation.
You seem intent on scorching the earth by protracting a nomination battle, as the link above would indicate. Please do not be intent, please listen to the words of Speaker Pelosi about ending this race next week. In the case of an all but official victory on Obama's part once he gets 41 or 42 more delegates, please do not drag this out over summer at go to "Denver!" in August.
You are scheming, because whether FL or MI are seated or not, you were rejecting anything but total victory, your way or the highway. Because it was apparent that something moderate like half-seating and giving you a majority of delegates still would not stop Obama from clinching the nomination. Nothing will except a scheme which violates the trust of the voters, disrespects the judgement of the superdelegates and breaches the party process. Please do not continue to do so.
If you do this thing, and embarass Candidate Senator Barack Hussein Obama, for all his flaws and imperfections, you will be primaried in 2012. Possibly by some up and coming (black?) politician, with the support of the voters (many African American) who feel you looked the other way or encouarged race-baiting against Obama and a nasty, mud-slinging campaign.
A large swath of the blogosphere will work to undermine you out of resentment, resentment which you can begin to alleviate now, and on Tuesday.
And not a moment too soon. Would that people had been more aware of your support for cluster bombing Lebanese civilians back in 2006 when something could have been done about, when Israel was both slaughtering Beirut and you were given an easy re-coronationnomination over Jonathan Tasini. Remember, Daily Kos and other leading blogs were almost totally on your side or neutral during that battle. They won't be in the future if you obstructed the first promising Democratic presidential candidate after the wasteland of the Bush years and in half a generation. Even on MyDD, pro-Obama bloggers--should you steal the nomination with a scheme, potentially anti-Clinton bloggers--have a lot of sway.
So I do not need to list the outrages, it's been done before. Horrifying voters with assassination talk after Ted Kennedy had a seizure, ignoring the math and the rules by which the nomination is decided. What these things, listed and unlisted show is a lack of decorum, lack of propriety and lack of objectivity. We do not need a ruler we need a representative.
Please act in a manner befitting your role in the party and as a sitting Senator.
